Festival-goers relaxing on a golden grassy slope at a summer village event

Village Events & Festivals

Village events run on a committee, a field and a quietly heroic amount of goodwill. Somebody has borrowed a PA, somebody else knows a man with a trailer, and the whole parish turns out if the sun plays along. FunFast is the easy bit. We deliver the kit to the field, set it up before the gates open, collect it when it is all over, and you book the lot online in minutes rather than in meetings.

Planning it well

Walk the field before you book anything. You are looking for flat ground for the castle, a power source for anything with a plug, and a route vehicles can use without churning the cricket square. Generators are the usual answer in the middle of a field, so tell us what power you will have and we will tell you what runs on it. Then spread the attractions out, because a spaced field keeps people wandering, and wandering people spend.

Evening is where village events either fade or fly. Most halls and recreation grounds have a noise condition in the licence, often 10pm or earlier, and a live band will sail straight through it. A silent disco solves that completely, a field full of dancers makes no more noise than a library. Decide your finish time first, then work backwards: last food orders, raffle draw, kids collected, and a clear hour for volunteers to tidy before the lights go off.

Village Events & Festivals: your questions

Our event is in the middle of a field. Is power a problem?

Usually solvable. The giant games need no power at all, and the castle, floss and popcorn machines each run from a standard socket, so a generator or a long run from the pavilion both work. We bring extension cable, so tell us the distance in the booking notes. If there is genuinely no power, build the day around the games and keep the plug-in kit for the hall.

What if the weather turns on the day?

Damp grass is business as usual, the games are all-weather and the castle has a shower cover. Proper wind or heavy rain is different: we call you the day before, and for the castle you can move it indoors, swap the date free of charge or take a full refund. Most committees also line up the village hall as a fallback.

How early can you set up, and when do you collect?

We fit around your running order. For daytime events we aim to be set up and checked before your gates open, and we collect after the close or the next morning if the field is secure. Put your open time, finish time and any vehicle rules in the booking notes and we will confirm the plan when we confirm the booking.
